TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The present Terms and Conditions are a contract between AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning ("AquaSweep" "our," "we," or "us") and Customer ("client", "you"). Booking our service through website, email, social media or telephone constitutes an acceptance of the agreement.
2. Customer needs to provide access to a property, running water and electricity. Any parking fees needs to be paid by Customer or will be added to a total price.
3. Please be aware, that time of appointment is approximate, we could be up to 30 minutes early or late. If it is more than 30 minutes, we will contact you.
4. No jobs will be booked without required details (full name, address, and contact number).
5. Our services do not include furniture removal or personal belongings, however we are happy to help with lightweight furniture. All valuable, fragile and breakable items needs to be removed before our arrival. Certain items are excluded from liability (for example: antiques, artwork, items of sentimental value, jewellery, and cash).
6. We request 24 hours notice to cancel appointments to avoid cancellation fee of £30.
7. All prices given are based on average sizes, however, they could be changed if job description given wasn't accurate (e.g. sizes bigger than given).
8. Payments for cleaning services must be made by cash, bank transfer or card on the day of the service or 5 days upon receipt of an invoice, otherwise legal action will be taken. Payment option needs to be agreed in advance.
9. If the job is not paid as stated above, late payment charges will be added to the total bill. £30 for every 7 days from a due date.
10. In some casesAquaSweep will require a deposit which has to be paid at least 24h before the date of job, otherwise we will have to cancel booking.
11. Customers agree that due to the nature of the service AquaSweep guarantees only to correct any problems reported within 24 hours of the completion of the service. Reports made after 24 hours will not be considered.
12. Should client refuse any further service to correct problems / dissatisfaction we accept no responsibility towards further issues caused by the refusal of treatment reserve the right to cancel any refunds or compensation.
13. If Customer or third party instructed by the customer is not present to inspect results of cleaning, then no claims regarding any cleaning issues can be made.
14. We insure all work undertaken, insurance covers damages done by AquaSweep workers. However - we cannot be held responsible for existing damages.
15. AquaSweep will use the best tools, techniques, and resources to fulfill the agreed job but does not guarantee that all stains from carpets, upholstery, and mattress will be removed.
16. AquaSweep does not guarantee that drying time will be the same for every situation and material, as it is highly affected by weather, temperature, and airflow on premises. Time frames described on our website or given in person are for reference only.
17. By booking AquaSweep service, Customer accepts the above Terms and Conditions.
EXTRACTION MACHINE HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All of the following are material conditions of your rental agreement. If you do not agree to them, please do not proceed with the rental. AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning will apply a cancellation fee of £5.00 to any Home Delivery booking that is cancelled less than 24hrs before the chosen hire period is due to start. Bookings that have commenced will not be eligible for cancellation.
RENTER AGREES TO: Not use any chemicals other than those provided with the machine. AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning cannot be held responsible for damage caused by the use of unauthorised products. Although every care is taken to ensure that your machine is in a clean condition when rented out, you are required to check the machine for cleanliness before using it. Using a machine in a dirty condition may cause damage to your carpet, which AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning cannot be responsible for. You agree to contact or report any problems you encounter during your rental directly to AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning at the earliest opportunity within the agreed rental period. Retrospective contact may not always allow AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning to verify and resolve issues reported. Before using the machine, please ensure all pipes of the machine are connected, and the vacuum switch is in the off position. This is an electrical appliance - Do NOT allow the machine to sit in standing water while operating. Unplug when not in use.
Always check that the ‘Manufacturer Guidelines’ of the areas you wish to use AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning Equipment & Products allow for water extraction cleaning BEFORE you start cleaning.
DO NOT USE AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning machine/equipment or cleaning solutions on: natural fiber, oriental rugs (silk or wool), hand-loomed wool rugs, braided rugs, sisal, sea grass matting, jute carpets, silk, Cotton, Haitian cotton, Ryalux, velvet, brushed corduroy, leather, non-colourfast fabrics, Berber, Viscose or Flotex Do not use on mattresses or mattress toppers made from Memory Foam or materials unsuitable for water extraction. Fabrics with cleaning codes ‘S’ and ‘X’ are NOT suitable for use with AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning equipment or cleaning solutions.
If your carpet is not listed above or you are unsure if it is suitable to use our products on your carpeting/furnishings, please check with the Manufacturer or call AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning.
You must ensure your carpet is securely fastened by either grippers or strong adhesive on a suitable underlay. Never place the machine on wood effect or laminate flooring without non-porous sheeting between the entirety of the machine and the floor. When using the machine in hand tool mode always ensure there is non-porous sheeting between the entirety of the machine and the floor. If a more serious leak develops, turn off the machine straight away and contact us for guidance.
1. RENTAL PERIOD (PERIOD FROM 24 HOURS TO 168 HOURS – AS BOOKED)
Rental Period (24 hours or 168 hours - as booked) - Return the equipment in a clean condition by the time and date agreed during your booking.
If you have booked a home delivery you must be available on the arranged collection day. The Hand Tool rental is a set charge to coincide with the rental period of the Rug Doctor machine taken.
2. CHARGES
Charges - Pay the rental charge as booked. Late return charge of £20 per day - up to a maximum of £400, If the equipment is not returned within the time agreed upon, then AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning shall have the right to take immediate action to recover the equipment or report it as stolen to the Police. A dirty machine charge of £5 can be enforced at the pickup time.
3. EQUIPMENT / PRODUCT USE
Equipment / Product Use - Use the equipment, materials, and cleaning products in a careful and prudent manner according to the instructions furnished by AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning, and do not allow any other person to use the equipment without the express written permission ofAquaSweep Carpet Cleaning. The machine is for domestic use only and must only be used at the address given during the booking procedure and at no other properties. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Care should be taken when lifting or lowering the machine, always follow safe lifting practices and ensure the machine recovery tank and cleaning solution tank are empty before attempting to move the machine. Do not temper with a defoamer tank. Always where possible pull the machine along the ground on its wheels by the adjustable handle. AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning is not responsible for Renter’s failure to follow operating instructions or for any damage that results due to use of products not provided by us. If the equipment malfunctions or appears unsafe, Renter agrees to immediately discontinue its use and report it to AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning. Renter understands and accepts that, to the extent permitted by law and except in the case of personal injury or death resulting from our negligence, the maximum limit of AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning liability for losses or damages, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise shall be limited to the rental charge you agreed to pay for the right to use the AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning machine for the period agreed.
You understand some stains – especially if they have been dried in – can be impossible to remove and results may vary depending on the stain and surface cleaned. You agree to avoid over-wetting and not to go over heavily soiled spots more than once. On wool/wool mix carpets and thick pile carpets, you agree to only go over them once no matter how soiled, if the carpets feel over wet then go over the carpet extracting water only, do not dispense any cleaning solution. Always ensure you adequately ventilate the room after cleaning to aid the drying process.
4. LIABILITY
The Renter shall be liable if the rented equipment is damaged, lost or not returned whilst on hire to him or her and shall indemnify AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning for (1) all costs it suffers in undertaking recovery and/or repair, and (2) for the full value of the Equipment if it is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair.
5. RETURN OF EQUIPMENT
The Renter agrees to return the Equipment in a clean condition within the agreed return date and understands that AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning may institute civil and/or criminal proceedings without further notice if the Equipment is not returned within return time. Theft or conversion of machines is a criminal offence. AquaSweep Carpet Cleaning always prosecutes theft to the fullest extent of the law.
